Mr. and Mrs. Larry Lambert Mr. and Mrs. Larry Lambert, 1059 Township Road 204, celebrate their 40th anniversary with an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, July 27, at the Church of Christ in Christian Union fellowship building, 1669 County Road 11. Mr. Lambert and the former Jeanette Willeke were married July 27, 1968, in Dola by the Rev. Sherwood Schroer. He is retired from Sprint. She is a medical technologist at Mary Rutan Hospital. They are the parents of Kristi (Mark) Meeker of West Liberty and Kenneth (Angie) Lambert of Bellefontaine. Four grandchildren complete their family. The omission of gifts is requested. The couple is also planning a celebration trip to Acapulco, Mexico.
Mr. and Mrs. Charles M. Davis Mr. and Mrs. Charles M. Davis of DeGraff will celebrate their 50th anniversary with their family on a weekend trip. Mr. Davis and the former Marilyn K. Ellis were married July 27, 1958, in Logansville by the Rev. Floyd Lundy. He is a self-employed worker in the construction industry. She is retired after working as the treasurer for Riverside Schools. They are the parents of Linda (Lee) Sprague of Florence, Ky., Stephen (Patti) Davis and Timothy (Emily) Davis, both of DeGraff, and Brenda (Joseph) Wicker of Erlanger, Ky. Sixteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren complete their family.
Mr. and Mrs. Warren Taylor Mr. and Mrs. Warren Taylor, 1520 Township Road 200, will celebrate their 40th anniversary with a family gathering. Mr. Taylor and the former Celynn Link were married July 20, 1968, at the Church of God, Bellefontaine, by the Rev. Cecil Mayle. He is retired from Glacier Daido America, farms part time and is a board member of the Logan County Electric Cooperative. She is a bus driver for Bellefontaine City Schools. They are the parents of Amy (Bill) Flaws of Columbus, Aaron (Jayme) Taylor and Adam (LeAnn) Taylor, both of Bellefontaine, and Aireane (Clay) Curtis of Aurora. Seven grandchildren complete their family.
Mr. and Mrs. Larry K. Lewis Mr. and Mrs. Larry K. Lewis, 1715 County Road 10, will celebrate 25 years of marriage with a late summer vacation planned by the Lewis children. Mr. Lewis and the former Kathryn Sue Jones were married July 1, 1983, by Mayor Richard Vicario in Bellefontaine. He is self-employed and she is a bus driver for Head Start. They are the parents of Lisa Lewis Thompson of San Diego, Scott Lewis of Highland, Calif., Chris Lewis and Angie Bruce, both of Bellefontaine, Anne Lewis of Urbana and Travis Teets of Lafayette, La. Twelve grandchildren complete their family.
Mr. and Mrs. Don Lewis Mr. and Mrs. Don Lewis, 8237 County Road 54, Lewistown, mark their 25th anniversary today. Mr. Lewis and the former Diane Brunner were married July 2, 1983, in an outdoor ceremony at the Zanesfield home of Bob Lewis by the Rev. Guy Furby. He is an MIS coordinator at HTM. She works as a classified ads manager at the Bellefontaine Examiner. They are the parents of Monica Lewis of Columbus and Cole and Connor Lewis at home.
Mr. and Mrs. Douglas D. MacGillivray Mr. and Mrs. Douglas D. MacGillivray of Bellefontaine recently celebrated their 50th anniversary at a party hosted by their four daughters, Kathy (Matt) Yackshaw of North Canton, Linda (Dick Griffith) MacGillivray of Bellefontaine, Kris (Tim) Shannon of Youngstown and Amy (Bill) Boy of Bellefontaine. They enjoyed the day with their 17 grandchildren, all of their siblings and other extended family members. Mr. MacGillivray and the former Marjorie Costin were married June 14, 1958, at the First Christian Church in Bellefontaine by the Rev. Keith McNeill. He is the president of Union Banking Company. She is retired from Bellefontaine City Schools.
Mr. and Mrs. Dennis McBrien Mr. and Mrs. Dennis McBrien of Bellefontaine will mark 40 years of marriage with a family vacation later this year. Mr. McBrien and the former Pam Keenen were married June 29, 1968, by the Rev. Keith McNeil at the First Christian Church in Bellefontaine. He is an officer with the Bellefontaine Police Department and she is community events and volunteer service coordinator for Mary Rutan Hospital. They are the parents of Brent (Denise) McBrien of Tampa, Fla., and Tammy (Mark) Fowler of Bellefontaine. Four grandchildren complete their family.
Mr. and Mrs. Emanuel Joseph Ropp Mr. and Mrs. Emanuel Joseph Ropp, 521 Willow Drive, celebrate 60 years of marriage Aug. 5. Mr. Ropp and the former Phyllis Marie LeVan were married Aug. 5, 1948, by the Rev. V.A. Chesterman at the First Church of God in Bellefontaine. He retired after 39 years as a trainman and conductor for New York Central, Penn Central and Conrail railroads. They are the parents of Diana (Warren) Baughman of Bellefontaine.
The Rev. and Mrs. Carl R. Stephenson The Rev. and Mrs. Carl R. Stephenson of Beavercreek, formerly of Logan County, are celebrating 60 years of marriage. The Rev. Stephenson and the former Geraldine Wilson were married June 20, 1948, by the Rev. Fred Hussey at Calvary Baptist Church in Bellefontaine. They are the parents of Richard (Cathy) Stephenson and John (Melissa) Stephenson, both of Beavercreek, Kevin (Cindy) Stephenson, Susan (Benton) Townsend and Kristin (Tony) Bower, all of Kettering, and Michael (Diana) Stephenson of Springboro. Twelve grandchildren and five great-grandchildren complete their family.
Mr. and Mrs. Bob Clement Bob and Eileen Clement of Richwood will celebrate 50 years of marriage with a renewal of vows ceremony and dinner at the home of their daughter, Danine Clement of Cardington. The Clements were married by the Rev. Whitnach in a candlelight ceremony June 21, 1958, at the LaRue Methodist Church. He is employed by Townsend Brothers Trucking and she works at Tri-Rivers Career Center. They are the parents of Denise (fiance Donnie Riesinger) Clement of Bellefontaine, Danine (partner Judith Metzger) Clement of Cardington and Dennis Clement of Prospect. Two grandsons complete their family. A trip out West, planned and provided by the children, will be taken at a later date.
