Stapleton highlights racing at Shady Bowl Speedway

Greg Stapleton claimed the $1,200 first-place prize for winning the Bill Lewis Memorial modified race Saturday at Shady Bowl Speedway.

Chad Poole held the early lead in the 40-lap modified feature.

Stapleton, who was the fast qualifier, moved into second on the 28th lap. Two laps later, he passed Poole for the lead.

Stapleton then led the last 10 laps to take the checkered flag. Poole took second, Brad Williams finished third, Dave Barnhart was fourth and Buck Purtee finished fifth.
