Lakers regroup to rip Graham

The sour taste of a double overtime loss from Friday didn’t sit well with Indian Lake’s boys basketball team.

The Lakers took out some of their frustration against visiting Graham on Monday as they rolled to a 77-60 win in Central Buckeye Conference Mad River division action.

“I am satisfied with the way we responded after losing to Urbana on Friday,” said Indian Lake head coach David Starr. “It was tough losing in double overtime, but we came back out and played with a purpose tonight.”

Indian Lake (3-2, 2-1) caught fire early against the Falcons.

The Lakers did a lot of damage from long range with 12 three pointers, including seven in the first quarter.

“As a coach, the first thing you see is our spacing and our ball movement,” said Starr. “Our guys found the open guy and they stepped up. We hit a lot of those open shots and it certainly gave us momentum.”
