Nothing seems to get OSU football fans more riled up than messing with the uniform.
Unlike Oregon and a growing list of others, Ohio State has not tinkered much with its traditional scarlet and gray digs over the years.
That changed in 2009, when uniform supplier Nike encouraged the school to wear a “rivalry uniform” for its game against Michigan in Ann Arbor. The Buckeyes won that game 21-10.
The “rivalry uniform” has been worn three times since and all four times OSU has won.
The alternative uniform was billed as a throwback to the past, but the “new” uniforms have not looked much at all like what the Buckeyes have worn before.
