Taste of playoffs not enough for young Blue Jackets


COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — The resurgence of the Columbus Blue Jackets last season was every bit as surprising as the previous year's collapse. Climbing out of the Metropolitan Division basement, the young team put together a captivating winning streak on the way to the playoffs.

It's done: Wade makes it official, signs with Cleveland

The wake-up calls for Dwyane Wade were coming at 5:45 a.m. for much of the summer. An hour or so later, he and LeBron James would be in the gym together working on their games.

And the chemistry was as good as ever.

"He drives me to want to be better," Wade said.

They'll be grinding together on a daily basis now.

Fowles grabs 17 boards, Lynx beat Sparks 70-68

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — The Minnesota Lynx were still stinging two days after they failed to grab a single rebound in the first quarter of their WNBA Finals-opening loss to the Los Angeles Sparks.

So Sylvia Fowles decided to grab them all in Game 2.
