HUBER HEIGHTS, Ohio (AP) — Funeral services are set for a Kent State football player who was found dead in the bedroom of his off-campus apartment this week.
The university has said police believe 21-year-old Jason Bitsko passed away from an undetermined medical issue.
The Dayton Daily News (http://bit.ly/YKrWLU ) reports visitation is scheduled Sunday afternoon and evening at the St. Peter Catholic Church family center in his hometown of Huber Heights, a Dayton suburb. The funeral is scheduled at the church Monday afternoon.
Bitsko was in his fourth year with the Golden Flashes and was slated to start at center. He started all 12 games in 2013.
His teammates plan to wear his number, 54, on their helmets in his honor this season.
They start their season next Saturday at home against the Ohio Bobcats.
