OHSAA to present statewide football scoreboard

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — The Ohio High School Athletic Association is introducing a new statewide football scoreboard as games get under way this week.

Schools will send their scores to either the association's online system or through another application.

The scoreboard will be available at:

This season 714 high schools will field teams with hopes of being one of the 224 teams to make the playoffs and go on to win one of the seven divisions (a so-called "super division" of the largest schools has been added).

The association's computer ratings will be tabulated starting after the fourth week of play.

The state championship games are Dec. 5-7 in Stark County.
