Bengals RB Green-Ellis finally emerging

CINCINNATI (AP) — BenJarvus Green-Ellis showed the Bengals his competitiveness this summer when he got wrapped up in a team volleyball game that was supposed to be just for fun. After a subpar first half of the season, he's emerging on the field as well.
Green-Ellis has run for more than 100 yards in each of the last three games, helping Cincinnati (7-5) win four in a row to get back into playoff contention. The Bengals host the Dallas Cowboys (6-6) on Sunday.
It's the first time a Bengals running back has topped 100 yards in three straight games since Corey Dillon in 1999. In the first nine games, Green-Ellis averaged fewer than 60 yards.
The blocking has improved and Green-Ellis seems to be more comfortable in his new offense.
