Two local drivers picked up big wins Saturday at Shady Bowl Speedway as Quincy’s Josh Smith and DeGraff’s Justin Pope took home the checkered flag in their respective classes.

Smith won the Neal Sceva Memorial for street stocks and Pope won the 100-lap Summertime Shootout for the mini stocks.
The 51-lap Neal Sceva Memorial saw Smith take over on lap 28. He never looked back to get the win. Smith, who also won the dash, won his first street stock feature of the season and picked up the $1,051 prize.
Pope battled his way to the front of the mini stock Summertime Shootout and held the lead for good in the final 30 laps. Pope was also the fast qualifier.

Ryan Tamburro was forced to settle for the runner-up spot, Jimmy McElfresh came in third, Eddie Kemp finished fourth and Jimmy Huffman was fifth.
