West Liberty-Salem and Triad combined for eight allleague selections, including a player of the year, in the recently released all-Ohio Heritage Conference softball team.

The Tigers finished the season 21-3 and won the OHC North division title with a 14-1 record. They ended the spring ranked sixth in the Division III state poll. The Cardinals finished sixth in the division with a 7-8 mark.

WL-Salem’s Kelsey Day highlighted the local players by being named the OHC North division player of the year. She was also named to the North division first-team squad along with teammates Kenedie Cox and Mady Stratton.

Earning second-team honors were the Tigers’ Hallie Strapp and the Cardinals’ Kendall Hughes.
