Raiders’ Current named Ohio co-player of year

Nikki Current has climbed the ladder on the all-Ohio girls basketball team throughout her career. And now, after her senior year, the Benjamin Logan star has received the top honor possible.

Current on Monday was named to the Ohio Prep Sportswriters Association Division III first team and was selected as the Division III co-player of the year.

Current shared the all-Ohio player of the year honor with Columbus Africentric’s Jordan Horston. The Division III coach of the year went to Kirtland’s Bob Bell.

“I’m extremely pleased and thrilled for her,” said Ben Logan head coach Donnie Sosby. “She has worked hard throughout her career. It is an honor well deserved.”
