Despite finishing ninth at the sectional tournament and barely qualifying to the district tourney, Bellefontaine’s boys bowling team never wavered in its belief that it was good enough to make it to state.

The Chiefs improved by over 300 pins from their sectional score at last week’s Division I district tournament in Beavercreek to finish fifth and qualify for Friday’s state tourney at Wayne Webb’s Columbus Bowl.
“I knew they were capable of this,” said Bellefontaine head coach Jane Kline. “This is a special group. They are very talented.”
