Houser, Pattison punch tickets to state

It was an emotional weekend for two area wrestlers after they competed in the Division II district tournament at Wilmington High School on Friday and Saturday.

Benjamin Logan senior Cole Houser and Bellefontaine junior Bruno Pattison both qualified to the OHSAA state tournament this week in Columbus.

Houser earned his second trip to state by placing third at 138 pounds, while Pattison earned his first state berth by placing fourth at 220 pounds.

The top four placers in each weight class qualified to state.

Graham won another district championship with 341 points and had 13 state qualifiers, including eight district champions.
