Unfortunately for the Tigers, their own offense struggled to put the ball in the basket as well.

The Tigers fell down 10-2 after one quarter, but had several chances to take the lead in the second half.

However, the Silver Knights stayed unbeaten by holding on for a 29-25 victory in a Division III district title game at Springfield High School.

“We knew they were very good defensively,” said WLSalem head coach Dennis McIntosh. “They are just so quick. We struggled getting shots off and we had a lot of turnovers.”
