NORTHMONT — West Liberty-Salem’s inside-outside balance overwhelmed Arcanum in Division III boys sectional basketball opener here Friday.

The Tigers received 18 points from guard Max Eggleston and 17 points from center Trevor Burden to topple the Trojans 56-30 at Northmont High School.

WL-Salem (16-7) advances to play Greeneview in a sectional semifinal at 6 p.m. Tuesday.

“I thought our guys came out in attack mode,” said WL-Salem head coach Darrin Leichty. “We were very aggressive to start the game.”
