The visiting Red Devils fought off the Tigers for a 42-38 win in a non-league girls basketball game.

Tippecanoe is now 9-0 on the season, while WL-Salem falls to 7-3.

WL-Salem held the Red Devils 22 points below their season scoring average. The Tigers played the Red Devils closer than any team on their schedule to date.

“It’s always good to test yourself against top-notch competition,” said WL-Salem head coach Dennis McIntosh. “To play the way we did tonight keeps the girls’ confidence up, and hopefully it helps us when we get to the tournament.”
