West Liberty-Salem’s girls basketball team pulled out a 62-55 overtime win against a talented Miami East squad at home on Saturday.
The Tigers are now 3-1 on the season as the Vikings slide to 3-2.
After the opening quarter, WL-Salem emerged with a 13-10 lead. Miami East turned the tables in the second quarter with an 18-6 run. That lifted the Vikings to a 28-19 cushion at halftime.
The Tigers pulled the momentum back in the third quarter by outscoring the Vikings 16-9 to cut Miami East’s lead to 37-35.
