Bellefontaine and Benjamin Logan each won Central Buckeye Conference cheerleading championships on Saturday during the ninth annual all-league competition at BHS.
The Chieftains won the Kenton Trail division title and had the highest score of all the competing teams by recording 355 points out of a possible 400. The Raiders won the Mad River division title.

Both squads had cheerleaders earn CBC first-team honors. The Chiefs had Kenton Trail first-team selections in Lauren Carter and Torrie Breaston, while the Raiders had Macy Arn and Peyton Kinney earn Mad River first-team honors.
Receiving second-team accolades were Bellefontaine’s Lauren Easton and Dreona Hughes and Ben Logan’s MacKenzie Deardorff and Raistlyn LeVan.
Taking home special mention honors were the Chiefs’ Brianna Burkhammer and Mikayla Stepp and the Raiders’ Ella Studebaker and Grace Grant.
The sportsmanship award went to Bellefontaine’s Madison Neal and Ben Logan’s LeAnn Regula.
Indian Lake’s all-league honors were not reported.
Bellefontaine’s junior varsity team also won a CBC championship.
Ben Logan’s junior high team finished second in the tumbling division and Bellefontaine came in fourth.
