The Chieftains will be competing at the Division II regional meet after placing sixth as a team Saturday during the district race here at Cedarville University.

The top seven teams and any runner who finished in the top 28 moved on to the regional meet Saturday in Troy.

“We were ninth on paper coming into the district meet and 80 points behind Carroll,” said BHS head coach Ben Davis.

“Many of our girls ran close to personal-best times to help pick the team up for those who had off days. They’ve worked hard and I’m thrilled for them.”
