Bellefontaine’s girls soccer team came out with authority in its Division II sectional semifinal and dropped visiting Kenton Ridge 4-1 at AcuSport Stadium on Thursday.

The fourth-seeded Chieftains (8-8-1) advance to the sectional final against top-seeded Tippecanoe (13-3-1) on Monday at Piqua’s soccer stadium. The game starts at 7 p.m.
“Tonight was the best we’ve played in a while,” said BHS head coach Matt Price. “The seniors and their teammates were not ready for the season to come to a close and played their hearts out to defend home turf. I’m so proud for them with all the injuries we’ve endured this year, that they came out and played with a lot of pride.”
