Bellefontaine up to second in latest computer ratings release

Bellefontaine’s big win over Jonathan Alder last Friday helped the Chieftains move up in the fourth set of weekly computer ratings released Tuesday by the OHSAA.

The top eight teams in each region at the end of the season earn a state playoff berth.

Bellefontaine (6-1) moves up to second in Division III, Region 11, to hold the highest position of any local team. Columbus Marion-Franklin has the top spot in Region 11.

Riverside (5-2) also sits in a favorable position as the Pirates are now fourth in Division VII, Region 28.

In Division VI, West Liberty-Salem (6-1) is currently eighth in Region 24, while Indian Lake (5-2) is ninth in Division V, Region 18.

Ben Logan (4-3) moved up again in the standings to 11th in Division VI, Region 14.
