Bellefontaine boys quiet Warriors

Bellefontaine’s boys soccer team saw its offense firing on all cylinders Wednesday as it jolted visiting Northwestern 5-1 in Central Buckeye Conference action.

The Chieftains improve to 10-3 overall and 6-1 in the CBC Kenton Trail. The Warriors fall to 6-4-1 on the season, but still stand atop the CBC Mad River division at 3-3-1.

“I’m so happy for our seniors that they could get a win like this on their Senior Night,” said BHS head coach Steve Henry. “We knew that this Northwestern team was no joke, so we wanted to come out fast. And to have Brad Hughes come alive like he did, was great to see. He really adds a level of attack that we will need going into the end of the season.”
