Raiders sweep Pirates in Fight for Family event

 

Benjamin Logan’s volleyball team won in straight sets over visiting Riverside on Saturday during its Fight for Family event to raise money and awareness for families battling cancer.

The Raiders prevailed by scores of 25-16, 26-24, 25-14 to improve to 9-2 on the season, while the Pirates slide to 8-3.

Stanleigh Archer fueled Ben Logan’s win with 13 points, 13 kills, three aces, eight digs and two blocks. 

Also for the Raiders, Sarah VanDyke tallied 12 kills and six blocks, Megan Hughes dished out 26 assists and recorded 12 digs and four blocks, Kinzie Jones post 21 digs and three aces and Bailey Shope add 11 digs with four blocks.

Marissa Davis led the Pirates with eight kills, four solo blocks and seven block assists and Shelby Giles tallied six kills, three solo blocks and four block assists.
