Neil Markin set the West Liberty-Salem career scoring record as the boys soccer team defeated host Miami East 7-3 on Tuesday in non-league action.
Markin had two goals in the win to set a new school record of 53 career goals. The previous record was held by Brad Stengel.
WL-Salem and Miami East were tied 2-2 at halftime, but the Tigers pulled away in the second half by scoring five goals to earn the win.
Markin, Raiph LeVan and Ethan Cole each had two goals and Ian Wolfe had one goal. LeVan had two assists, while Lance Baldwin and Andrea Salcito each had one assist.
