Shumaker scores 5 goals in Chiefs’ win over Piqua

Sophomore Caitlyn Shumaker scored all five of Bellefontaine’s goals in a 5-2 win over Piqua on Monday in non-league girls soccer action.

The Chiefs are 1-0 on the season.

Bellefontaine received two goals from Shumaker in the first half and three more in the second half.

Defensively, goal keeper Anne West, as well as the group of Zoe Price, Daja Wilson, Lindsey Heminger and Kaitlyn Baughman, 

“Overall, I’m pleased how the game played out,” said BHS head coach Matt Price. “Our girls rose to the challenge and put in the hard work that it takes to win at this level.”
