It was an exciting night of racing as DeGraff’s Buck Purtee claimed the Neal Sceva Memorial Race at Shady Bowl Speedway on Saturday.

Sceva, a former Urbana resident, won over 600 feature races. After passing away in 1985, his car was bought by Matt Wilson, who would have Purtee drive the car on Saturday.
Purtee set the fast time and won the 51-lap feature. He took the front spot on lap 17 and never looked back. Rodney Roush came all the way from the rear of the field to finish second, Schaeff held on for third, Shawn Stansell was fourth and Chad Small II came in fifth.
