COLUMBUS — It wasn’t the ending Connor Dixon envisioned, but it was still the place where he wanted the season to end.

The Indian Lake 160-pound reached his goal of competing at the OHSAA Division II state wrestling tournament here Thursday inside the Jerome Schottenstein Center.
His trip did not last as long as he hoped, though, as he lost a pair of matches to bow out of the tourney.
Dixon lost his first-round match and then fell again in the consolation bracket to be eliminated. The top eight in each weight class place.
“It’s not how we wanted it to end, but he still made it here and I’m proud of him,” said Indian Lake head coach Ryan Dickson. “He made everyone proud. Connor took himself to another level to get here. He has nothing to be ashamed of.”
