It’s a position any team would hope to be in for its regular-season finale.
Indian Lake is playing for a chance to earn a share of the Central Buckeye Conference Mad River division crown when it travels to Northwestern on Friday.
The Warriors lead the Mad River standings at 9-3 going into the final night of league action. The Lakers are one game back at 8-4 and a win would secure them a share of the CBC Mad River crown.
“This is a very important game and it is also just the next game on the schedule,” said IL head coach David Starr. “We have put ourselves in a position to accomplish one of the goals we set at the beginning of this season, competing for a league championship
“Our guys are playing well and we have built some momentum up to this point. A win will definitely give us momentum heading into the tournament.”
