Ben Logan student wins age division in triathlon event

JACOB SMITH

Jacob Smith, who will be an eighth-grade student at Benjamin Logan this fall, took first in his age group in the HFP Racing Triathlon last weekend at Caesar Creek State Park.

He competed in the mini-triathlon and finished the 250-yard swim, seven-mile bike and two-mile run in a time of 52:07.5. That time was the best in the 14-and-under male division and was ninth-best of all males racing in the mini-triathlon.
