Riverside lifters place fifth at state meet

Riverside’s powerlifting team earned a fifth-place finish at the state meet Saturday in Kenton.

The Pirates were led by Jake McBrian, who finished first at 175 pounds. Mason Harbour (125) and Joseph Coulson (175) also had stellar performances as they each placed fourth.

Also for Riverside, Mike Seeling (185) and Jared Holycross (225) were eighth, Brad Moffett (250) placed ninth, Zach Stewart (125), Cody Weeks (145) and Logan Whitaker (195) placed 10th, Chad Small (250) was 11th and Braedon Oliver (165) was 12th.

Advancing to the national meet April 5 in South Bend, Ind., were Harbour, Weeks, Seeling, Coulson, Holycross, Nick Snapp, Whitaker, Ben Brown, Small, Moffett, Ryan Stewart and McBrian.
