Benjamin Logan’s boys golf team edged defending Central Buckeye Conference Mad River division champion Northwestern 165-166 on Tuesday at Liberty Hills Golf Club.
With five of the six varsity golfers having reported their scores, the Raiders trailed by a stroke. However, the Raiders’ final finisher, Tanner Rader, defeated his opponent by one stroke and his score replaced a score three shots higher to give Ben Logan the narrow victory.
The Raiders are now 8-0 in league play and 27-7 overall.
Grant Ricketts led the Raiders with a 38. T.J. Fink shot 41, Rader had a 43, Colin Headings had a 43, Mitchell Fink shot 46 and Will Kenoyer had a 52.
Ben Logan’s reserve team picked up its first win. Connor Stewart led with a 50, Jared Sater shot 52, Daniel Meier had 57 and Justin Watkins added a 60.
