Pirates turn back Knights

Bellefontaine picks up win over Kenton

Riverside’s varsity volleyball team improved its record to 2-1 with a four-set victory over visiting Greenon on Thursday.

The Pirates prevailed 25-18, 22-25, 25-16, 25-18.

Kerri Meade posted 14 kills and four aces and Marissa Davis tallied 14 kills to spark the Pirates in the win.

Also for Riverside, Taylor Stevens had 11 digs, Brooke Hickey recorded nine digs and 10 assists, Aubrey Stephens had four aces and Samantha Egbert added 18 assists.

In the reserve match, Greenon won 19-25, 25-23, 25-15. For Riverside, Kristin Davidson tallied 11 points, Kierstyn Severt had 10 points and Alexa Klingler added seven points.
