Perry dominates in MERS Shady Bowl feature race

The Main Event Racing Series was on hand Saturday at Shady Bowl Speedway, with Bud Perry taking the 75-lap feature event.

The MERS feature saw a dominating performance by Perry, a former track champion and two-time MERS winner. The first 25 laps of the feature were led by Rich Rohrer. Perry then took over for the remaining 50 laps and rumbled his way to victory. Alex Rosenberry took the runner-up spot, Marcus Malcuit was third, Rohrer fell back to fourth and Bryan Clay came in fifth.

The Pro-4 feature was a two-driver battle as Justin Meed edged out Jim Lewis Jr. for the win. Josh Plummer came in third, Matt Thompson finished fourth and Paul Hazelett was fifth.

Josh Sage claimed the top spot in street stock action. Mike Snapp settled for the runner-up position, Ray Muncy took third, Jim Lewis Jr. was fourth and Buck Purtee claimed fifth.
