Lakers’ Davis helps team earn U.S. Youth Soccer Association honor

Indian Lake’s Connor Davis recently helped his travel squad earn a spot among the top 16 teams in the country for boys 18-and-under by The U.S. Youth Soccer Association.

Davis’ team, the Classics Eagles was selected for winning and placing in tournaments and by winning the U.S. Region II Midwest Premier League this past season. The honor helps earn them a berth for next year’s National League, which takes place from November until next July.

A junior this fall, Davis plays midfield for the Eagles and was in the top five in scoring of all the players in the 14-state Midwest Region for the 2014 season. This past season, the Eagles beat national runners-up FC Dallas, Century V, CUP Gold, KSC Academy and the Michigan Jaguars.
