Local tumblers compete at Junior Olympics

Gloria’s Tumbling Team recently had 10 local tumblers compete at the AAU Junior Olympic Championships in Des Moines, Iowa. There were more than 800 competitors from 20 different states competing in the games.

Ohio placed third in each event as a state, while special awards were given to Kolbi Moell and Amber Kuck in double mini, Bethany Lowery in double mini and trampoline and Mekenzie Flora in trampoline and tumbling. Khierstyn Branan and Abby Kite competed in synchronized trampoline and received a gold medal.

Individual results are listed below in order of tumbling, trampoline and double mini with ages in parenthesis:
