Fay tabbed as Cotner’s replacement at Ben Logan

When Benjamin Logan’s football program was put in a pinch with the departure of Carleton Cotner last week, school officials turned to a person who knows the team as well as anybody.

A mainstay in the program, Jeff Fay was announced Tuesday as Ben Logan’s new grid coach. Cotner, who went 26-44 in seven seasons, stepped down July 15 after deciding to take a coordinator position at Dublin Jerome.

“We have met and discussed what is best for our team, program, coaches, and everyone involved, and with that being what is most important, Jeff is the right person to lead the program,” said Ben Logan athletic director Scott Reule. “He has been continually invested in the program as an assistant coach and cares deeply about the student-athletes and their improvement, both individually and as a team. He is a very professional person and accepts the job with excitement and positive expectations.”
