Bellefontaine wins pair to advance to finals of Acme district tourney

Riverside suffers two losses to end season

Bellefontaine Easton Water dropped Springfield Shawnee 3-1 and beat Xenia 2-0 on Sunday at Blue Jacket Park to advance to the Acme district baseball championship round.

Easton Water plays at 6 p.m. Tuesday for the district crown against the winner of tonight’s loser’s bracket game between Xenia and Shawnee.

The district champion advances to the state tournament, which begins Saturday in Archbold.

Riverside was knocked out of tournament play after losing 7-1 to Xenia and 7-2 to Shawnee on Sunday.
