Bellefontaine swimmers top Minster

Despite being half the size of its opponent, Bellefontaine’s summer swim team defeated Minster 367-357 in a dual meet Saturday at the Hoffman Municipal Pool.

Bellefontaine also competed against Tipp City on Thursday, with Tipp City claiming a 416-317 win.

Numerous team records were set during the two meets. Emily Fulmer set new marks in the 50 freestyle (26.43) and 100 individual medley (1:06.52), Skyler Tavenner broke records in the 50 butterfly (24.29), 100 individual medley (58.85), 50 backstroke (26.41) and 100 freestyle (50.56) and Macy Arn set a new record in the 50 breaststroke (34.05).

Three relay records were also broken. That included the girls 13-14 medley relay of Amy Fulmer, Macy Arn, Emily Fulmer and Shelby Starkey (2:00.67), the same foursome in the girls 13-14 freestyle relay (1:49.82) and the group of Molly Schulz, Emma Smith, Shelbi Moore and Sarah Mally in the girls 15-18 medley relay (2:10.61).
