Tigers’ Karg finds fast fit at ONU

A lot of things have happened at a high rate of speed for Conner Karg this spring.

From setting school records to winning a state championship, the West Liberty-Salem track star had plenty of big moments to look back on.

Finding a college choice also happened in a flurry for the sprint standout, who quickly found the right fit at Ohio Northern University, an NCAA Division III program.

“They had a major there that caught my attention,” said Karg of the manufacturing technology program at ONU. “I went on a visit and saw their shop for that, and felt I could do well at it.

“I also met with the track coach and I really liked him. I met some of the runners on the team and I got along with them, too. It seemed like track would be a good fit. I enjoyed the campus. It was a nice place and it just felt like a good place for me.”
