Quincy’s Josh Smith picked up his third victory of the season after claiming first in the late model feature, while Gary Eaton Jr. won a close battle in the compact feature.

Smith made a charge from the rear of the field in the late model race. The move paid off as he went on to cross the finish line first. The win was the third of the season for Smith as he continues his quest for another track championship. Jacob Muncy turned in a second-place finish, John Stroble took third, Austin Troyer landed a fourth-place effort and Mark Parker was fifth.

It was a family affair in the compact feature between Gary Eaton Jr., his cousin Terry Eaton Jr. and Ron Masters, Gary’s father-in-law. All three battled to the final lap that saw Gary Eaton edge out Terry Eaton for the victory. Masters settled for third, Chris Crosier was fourth and Justin Birt finished in fifth.
