Riverside’s Acme baseball team handled visiting Anna for a 6-1 victory on Tuesday.
The Pirates won their fourth straight game to improve their mark to 4-1 on the season.
Landon Kelsey came on in the second inning in relief and threw six shutout innings to record the win.
Offensively, Connor Cotterman led the way going 4-4, while Kelsey went 3-4 and scored two runs.
Riverside travels to Indian Lake today.
Easton Water edges Piqua
Bellefontaine Easton Water Solutions edged Piqua 7-5 in a Junior Acme baseball game Tuesday at Blue Jacket Park.
Easton Water took control after scoring four runs in the bottom of the fourth inning. Piqua tied the game with four runs in the top of the sixth inning, but Bellefontaine was able to pull ahead again with three runs in the bottom of the sixth frame. That gave Easton Water a 7-4 lead. Piqua added a run in the top of the seventh inning, but couldn’t get any closer.
Turner Scott pitched a complete game and picked up the win on the mound with six strikeouts and one walk.
Offensively for Bellefontaine, Javon Warner went 3-4 and scored two runs, while Clay Wisner went 2-4 with three RBI.
