Longtime local bowling standouts Jan Beach and Megan Charles Nicholl were recently inducted into the Bellefontaine USBC Hall of Fame during the local association’s annual banquet.
Both Beach and Nicholl were inducted for outstanding performance and contributions to the sport of bowling.
Beach has been involved with the sport of bowling for more than 25 years. He has bowled in numerous state tournaments and has competed with teams that won five league titles and four city tournament titles. He helped two of his teams set house records at T-P Lanes.
Beach’s high average was a 224 and his career high series was an 825. He has bowled a 298 game, seven 300 games and one 800 series.
Nicholl has bowled for more than 20 years at the local bowling alley. She has participated in 20 state tournaments and has bowled on teams that won five league titles, five city tournament titles. Two of her teams set house records.
