The area’s softball teams were unable to produce any long tournament runs this spring, but three individuals were recently recognized for their standout performances.
Bellefontaine’s Jazmyn Haley and Benjamin Logan’s Kate Campbell were named to the Division II all-Ohio team this week, while Triad’s Hannah Watkins was a second-team selection in Division IV.
The all-Ohio teams were voted on by the Ohio High School Fastpitch Softball Coaches Association.
A senior, Haley was a force with her bat and behind the plate.
“This is a huge honor for Jazmyn,” said BHS head coach Katie Buffkin. “It has been a long time since Bellefontaine softball has had a player get all-Ohio. That is a real tribute to her talent. It sets the bar high for the program.”
