Local soccer players win tourney

Indian Lake eighth-grade students Xander and Nikolas Vance recently helped their FC 42 Lime club soccer team win its division in the U.S. Youth Soccer Presidents Cup. The tournament consisted of top club teams in Ohio competing for the right to represent Ohio at the U.S. Youth Soccer Regional Presidents Cup Tournament in Kansas in June. After winning four straight games, FC 42 Lime played in the championship game on Sunday, winning 5-0 over the ISC Storm 99.  Both Vance brothers had a number of assists during the tournament, with Nikolas playing left midfield and Xander at right defensive back.
