Bellefontaine wraps up regular season with rout of Urbana

Bellefontaine finished the regular season on a good note Monday, rolling to a 14-0 victory over host Urbana in five innings.

The Chiefs, who now have a seven-game winning streak, are 21-5 on the season. They finished 13-3 in the Central Buckeye Conference and came in one game behind Tippecanoe for second place in the Kenton Trail division.

Urbana falls to 6-17, 4-12.

After two scoreless innings to begin the game, Bellefontaine broke out with two runs in the third inning and followed with five in the fourth and seven in the fifth.

Tyler Jones, John Kirby, Kyle Brunner and Jarrod Houchin combined for a three-hitter on the mound for BHS. Jones worked three innings to get the win.
