Triad’s softball team earned a share of the Ohio heritage Conference championship Friday with a 2-0 win over visiting Southeastern.
The Cardinals finish the regular season 12-2 as co-league champs with Northeastern, who won the OHC last spring. Triad wraps up the regular season at 16-6.
“The girls have really worked hard for this,” said Triad head coach Shari Dixon. “We started off the season slow and had a few more defensive errors than we would have liked. It is nice to see us coming together now before tournament starts.”
Junior pitcher Hannah Watkins fired a two-hitter and earned the win in the pitching circle for Triad to help fuel the win.
