WL-Salem’s OHC title hopes crumble early

West Liberty-Salem saw its Ohio Heritage Conference championship hopes wiped out by a potent Northeastern offense Thursday.

The visiting Jets racked up 18 hits and took advantage of four WL-Salem to coast to a 16-2 victory.

Both teams came into the game with 12-1 conference records. With its win, Northeastern claimed the OHC crown with a final league mark of 13-1. The Jets are now 16-5 overall.

WL-Salem is now 16-6, 12-2.
