Smith wins conference title for Shawnee State

Former West Liberty Salem distance standout Jasmine Smith had a standout weekend for Shawnee State University at the Mid-South Conference track and field championships in Williamsburg, Kent.

A freshman, Smith placed second in the 3,000 steeple chase (12:07.65), was on the third-place 1,600 relay team and was part of the Bears’ winning 3,200 relay team, which was the first relay team in Shawnee State school history to win a conference title.
