Raider boys fare well in recent meets

Benjamin Logan’s boys and girls junior high track and field teams competed at the Miami East Invitational on Friday and hosted a tri-meet on Tuesday against Graham and North Union.

The Raider boys took seventh at the Miami East Invitational with 43.5 points, while the girls finished ninth with 30 points.

Leading the Ben Logan boys at Miami East with fourth-place finishes were Jake Henman in the 800 (2:28) and Bryden Penhorwood in the pole vault (9-0).

Coming in fifth were Henman in the 1,600 (5:34), Penhorwood in the 400 (1:01.3) and the 200 hurdles (30.3), Nolan Robson in the high jump (4-10), the 400 relay of Curtis Gadson, Robson, Devin Coy and Preston Cozad (52.1) and the 800 relay of Gadson, Robson, Coy and Cozad (1:52). Coy also placed sixth in the pole vault (7-6).
