Benjamin Logan grabs sweep over Tigers

Benjamin Logan’s softball team bounced host West Liberty-Salem 11-3 and 4-1 to sweep a doubleheader on Saturday.

The Raiders improve to 19-6 on the season and the Tigers fall to 7-9.

In the first game, the Raiders raced to a 4-0 lead in the first inning and never looked back.

Benjamin Logan piled up 18 hits. Leading the way were Tahlsa Bowshier (4-5, home run), Kate Campbell (2-4), Dallas Deickert (2-4), Sydney Evans (2-4), Shelby Harvey (3-3, two doubles, four RBI), Kenzie Heater (2-4), Taylor Quay (2-4) and Darrian Rockhold (3-5, three doubles, two RBI).

Campbell went the distance in the pitching circle to get the win in the opener for the Raiders. She struck out 10, did not allow a walk and scattered seven hits.
